Nurturing the Milestones

18 Months - 2½ Years

Your infant is now growing into a toddler! This program is intended to nurture their inquisitive minds through drama, music, fine motor and gross motor opportunities, as well as art to further develop their cognitive and sensory skills.

Its also a great time in their lives to be potty training, which we can assist with using our toddler washroom located right in the classroom. We can also accommodate If you’re toddler isn’t ready or comfortable enough to start potty training.

We strive to help each child meet their amazing milestones through:

  • Music/Drama

    Puppets, songs, and
    instruments.

  • Sensory

    Water play, finger
    painting, etc

  • Gross Motor

    Rolling balls, climbing, sliding,
    pushing cars and walkers

  • Cognitive

    Puzzles, books
    and blocks

  • Fine Motor

    Rattles and manipulative
    toys

As a shift working parents with 2 young children, my husband and I would not have been able to return to work had it not been for 'little start'. Odd hour drop offs and last minute bookings are always accommodated. The staff are knowledgeable and gentle with infants, so much so that I will be bringing my 7 week old for her first day next week while I attend swimming lessons with my son. Thank you Little Start, we literally wouldn't be able to do it without you.
